National Active Aging Week

National Active Aging Week promotes for one week of the year, for aging exercise and fitness no matter how old you are. Run by the International Council of Active Aging, it is a week to promote women and men to come outside of their homes and get active by walking or participating in events or sports. This is an important week also to encourage emotional and social connection for those who are older in age, where we can often find isolation and separation is a common theme.
The International Council of Active Aging believes that this week connected individuals in all areas of their lives, from physical to spiritual. It is about embracing life no matter what age you are and making the most of what you have.
